The Challenge
Atlassian’s expansive outdoor areas had the potential to become a natural extension of the workplace, but lacked a strong spatial connection with the interiors. The intent was to create a cohesive environment where architecture, landscape and workplace experience flowed seamlessly across indoor and outdoor zones.
Our Approach
We developed an integrated biophilic language across the campus, using custom FRP planters, curated planting, and spatial zoning to create continuity between interior and exterior environments. The scale, form and placement of each intervention were considered in relation to the surrounding architecture, circulation and sightlines, ensuring that greenery became part of the spatial composition rather than an independent layer.
The Result
The campus now transitions naturally between inside and outside, creating a connected sequence of spaces for work, collaboration, movement and pause. Greenery establishes visual continuity, defines zones and strengthens the relationship between people, architecture and nature.
